System 1/100 Control Unit Switches

All switch connections are routed through edge connector J3 of the interface board. The following shows what happens at J3 for each switch.

RESET PRESSED Pin 27 is grounded

The pin 13 to pin 14 resistance forms part of the RB resistance for 555 U16 which is configured for ?stable operation. The pin 15 to pin 16 resistance forms part of the RB resistance for 555 U7 which is also configured for ?stable operation. See TI 1984 LINEAR CIRCUITS DATA BOOK p. 5-26 for more info. Connection of pin 18 to pin 17 effectively routes output Q0 of 174 Hex D-type Flip-Flop U19 through to pin 16 of edge connector J4 which gives the 907 program control of the cutter. Grounding pin 18 pulls pin 16 of edge connector J4 up to 1.3V which puts the cutter down. Grounding pin 27 pulls S-100 bus pin 75 (RESET) low which resets the CPU.
