System 1/100 MOTOR SPEED CONTROLLER

Turn on the motor, then set the mode switch to the mode you want. Since the mode you select controls the motor, it's easiest to leave the motor on at all times. Here's a description of the controller modes.

ON
The motor runs continuously, whether the table is moving or not.

OFF
Both the motor and the speed controller are off.

AUTOSTART
The motor starts only when the engraving table advances. When the table returns to home position, the motor turns off.

Use the speed control dial on the front of the controller to adjust your motor's engraving speed. Setting the dial to zero turns the motor off. It's best to leave the dial set above zero, though, so the engraving table can start the motor.

You can plug an accessory, such as Dahlgren's chip removal system, into the accessory outlet. It runs independently of the controller's ON/OFF/AUTOSTART switch. Just plug in the accessory; the power always stays on.

The outlet comes with a safety plug in it. Keep the plug inserted when you're not using the outlet.

On the back panel of the speed controller you'll find an 8 amp fuse. You don't need to worry about the 5 fuse unless you have trouble with your controller. If your motor will run on its own but won't run when it's attached to the speed controller, check the fuse to see if it's blown.

To check the fuse, turn the black knob counter-clockwise (as you're facing the back panel) until you feel it come loose. Pull the knob out. You should see a small wire inside a glass cylinder. If the wire is broken, you've blown the fuse. Call The Network  for a replacement fuse.

If the fuse hasn't blown, push it back into its slot, then turn it clockwise to lock it in place.

If the motor still won't start, and you've checked your connections and the fuse, call The Network.
