Mount the baby frame in vice as shown in the picture. Center it, but it does not have to be perfect. Just make sure when diamond presses down, it will not move it downward.

Using the arrows on pendant, move the spindle precisely over the upper left corner of the frame. This does need to be precise.

Press SHIFT+ENTER on pendant to set new home.

In VP, using Shape Tools -> Rectangle, draw a rectangle 3" wide by 4" tall, and center it using the Alignment tool.

Change the rectangle color to red.  All other boxes we will create will automatically be red.

Created a red box and resized to 1 x .15. The .15 is the actual size of the lettering I will use for the engraving.

Duplicated it 4 more times , and moved each box to the general area on the frame.  My example is shown to the right.

I then measured the maximum area that could be engraved, and changed size of each of the five fields/boxes. Remember to leave the height of the box at .15. My box dimensions are show below:

Using the arrows on the pendant, move the spindle to the location on the picture frame where the center of the box would be located. Note: Change the jog speed for moving around to MEDIUM, use the Shift + Speed Adjust. FAST is too fast and SLOW is too slow.

Using the X & Y coordinates on the pendant, I entered the center position for each red box. The layout now looks like my example.

Click on the ENGRAVE icon. Use the SHIFT + START OPTION to trace the red boxes with the laser pointer. Make adjustments as needed.

Enter the text. Using the TEXT TOOL -> TEXT COMPOSE. None of the text is to extend beyond the red box (Watch out for those lower case y's and g's). I like the Romain3 font. Set kerning to 100%, and make the color black.

Note:  I typed the lettering away from the red box as a new option in the version 7.1 was causing the text to fit to a path (the red box) automatically. I used the arrow keys move to the text exactly in the red box.

To use the layout, load the job and make sure you have the MaxPro T-slot driver selected.

Mount the frame and move the spindle to PRECISELY to the upper left corner of the frame. Press SHIFT + ENTER to set this position as HOME.

Click the ENGRAVE icon. In the Cut Tool Manger, select FILTER BY COLOR and do red only. Click on the ENGRAVE icon. Test the plate with the red diode (SHIFT + START). Using the red diode will make sure you are aligned.

To engrave the frame, go to ENGRAVE. In the cut tools manager, use the FILTER BY COLOR option, and select black.  I turned the PROX on for the diamond graver, and turned the vacuum and spindle off. I set the feed rate to 1.0 and the Z lift height to .25. Click ENGRAVE. Press START to engrave.
