GENERAL TIPS FOR THE ENGRAVER

Every have a cutter get stuck in your spindle?

Cutters can get stuck because of rust from humidity, or getting bent by running into the table, clamping holders or other objects on the engraving table. If you think the cutter is bent, it must be removed from the bottom. Other wise, put put some light lubricant on the bottom of the cutter. Wipe off the excess. DO NOT put oil down the spindle - bearings will self destruct in 1-3 weeks.

Loosen the gold cutter knob and screw until it is above threads. Re-tighten the knob. Get a pair of vice grips, grab the knob and work it out GENTLY. Sometimes it takes a little coaxing. Do not use a vise or vise grips on any part except the cutter and knob. Once out, use some high grit metal sanding paper and clean the cutter. I like to take W-40 and clean my cutters to prevent rust. CLEAN ALL OF THE WD-40 OFF before reinserting. iIf you cannot remove the cutter, remove the spindle form the machine and send in to your service center.

SOFTWARE TIPS FOR THE ENGRAVER

Vision Pro 6 - Repeating the Same Job - Series 1 & 2 Controller

Go to the Engrave, Plotting defaults screen.  Click on Setup to the right of the driver.  Click on Spool and then OK.  Then click Save Default.  This will turn the Spooler on. Now when you send a job to the machine, it will ask how many Spooler Copies you want.  Enter how many you want to engrave.  The spooler will now send that many jobs to the machine and it will go to home between jobs and wait for the start button to be pushed.

Transferring Files From CorelDRAW to VisionPro

Press the F7 or F8 function keys. Left-click on the line you wish to engrave. Press F9 to go to the Execute layout screen, and OK to engrave.

Re-engrave a plate in Vision Windows Software

Press the F1 button on the Vision Serial Controller Series I, or the B1 button on the Vision Serial Controller Series II or the Home/Save button on the VE-810 Engraver. After the start light will turns green press the start button and the entire job that was last engraved will engrave. The job can be closed or open, but Vision Windows must remain open.
