Auto Focus

AUTO FOCUS
The ULS Auto Focus is standard on all M, V & X laser platforms. A beam is emitted from the Auto Focus assembly within the laser cabinet. It accurately detects the height of the material with a beam of light vs. mechanical sensoring devices which have to touch the material. I use it for most production applications where there may be a difference in the height of the items to be lasered.

Did you know that ULS offers three additional ways to set your focus?
	▪	Adjust the focus height on your laser control panel
		This method allows repeatable accuracy. I use is when lasering acrylics. By moving the beam slightly out of focus, I can get a whiter finish. And when cutting, I can focus closer to the material to get a smoother vector cut. I also use my calipers to measure irregular height objects. I just enter the measurement into the laser control panel

		Great for setting the height of inside surface such as a bowl, where calipers or Autofocus won't work. A handy tool that is preset to the height of the lens is provided .
	▪	Set the focus height in the ULS Print Driver
		Just enter the height of the material into print driver, and the laser automatically adjusts the focus. And best of all, you can set the height of the material in the printer driver for each of the (8) colors. The laser then will adjust the focus height of each color and run all of the colors in one complete job.
